UCEA Dublin logoThe Union of the Capitals of the European Union (UCEU) was established in 1961 to preserve continuous links between the European capitals and to encourage communication between the inhabitants in order to develop the living feeling of European solidarity.

It is a unique gathering of Europe’s 27 capitals and it provides an exclusive opportunity for the Lord Mayors, elected city councillors and senior administrators to address collectively issues of common concern. Dublin City has been honoured with the role of holding the Presidency of the UCEU for 2008 for the first time since 1988.
